Instead of a single memo database that the built-in Memo Pad provides, with ABCTextPad app you can create the unlimited number of text databases (here called "Pads" or "Folders" in earlier ABC releases) with 16 categories in each of them.

Pads can be assigned global properties:

 - automatic (!) shadowing and/or reloading of memos

 - journaling or date/time stamping (log) modes

 - password protection levels

Two levels of password protection can be activated on the textpad level:

 - "Scramble2" level with medium protection and 20 minutes password timeout

 - 128 bit full "Encryption" level with strong protection and 6 seconds password timeout

A textpad can be backup-ed to the VFS expansion card (SD/MMC...) and restored if necessary (This option will backup/restore the entire textpad as a unit with all texts and categories included).
