Several advanced features are available that operate on the entire category.


Note: If a feature operates on the an entire category it can usually be applied to a folder as a whole, by selecting the "All" category.


In the category view there is a handy feature of multiple memo selection. The selected memos can be Cut/Copy/Pasted between categories and folders, deleted or beamed.

 

When combined with the "Twin View" feature, multiple memo selection can be used to transfer memos between folders and categories easily.

 


Export/import functions:
"Category Export to Doc" option exports all memos in a category to a single Palm Doc format text file, located in the main Palm memory. Such a doc file can be viewed and edited with various "Doc" viewers and editors available for Palm platform (like Qed, Aportis etc...) or submitted to a language compiler etc... The Doc file is created in the uncompressed format. (Note: The Palm Doc format is a pure text standard format for Palm platform and has no similarities to the MS Windows desktop MS Word or MS WordPad ".doc" formats) 
"Category Export to .txt" option exports all memos in a category to separate ???.txt files on a VFS expansion card. Memos are exported to a single folder named upon the category name, while individual ".txt" file names are extracted from the first line of the memo.
"Category Import From .txt" option imports all memos (.txt files) in a folder named upon the current category, while individual ".txt" file names are added to the memo as its first line.

 

Memo organizing:
"A-B, C-D, E-F categories" option deletes your current categories and creates new alphabetic categories (A-B, C-D, etc...). Then distributes memos alphabetically in the appropriate categories for fast and easy retrieval
